A good Glendale plan doesn't have to revolve around shopping. Give it a table, a little culture and enough time to actually catch up.
Put Raffi's on the list
Raffi's Place describes its cooking as Persian and Middle Eastern, with an indoor-outdoor courtyard setting. Its history goes back to Rafik and Gohar Bakijanian opening the restaurant in 1993. That's a useful distinction when you're putting together a local list: an established restaurant with a story, not a place being called new because it appeared in your feed.
Choose your dinner around who's coming. Ask about current reservations and group arrangements directly; don't assume a courtyard table or a menu item will be available.
Give the day another conversation
Glendale Arts is another place to look before settling on the usual plan. Its published calendar includes exhibitions and wellness programming. At the time of our October 8 check, Nic Gregory's All Unfinished was listed through October 17, 2026, with Ashoke Chhabra's Lights for Action listed for October 31–November 21. Check the organizer's page for venue details and access before you go.
These are separate stops, not a promise of a seamless walking route. Decide whether you're making a day of it or choosing one thing well.
Then look beyond the itinerary
If you're considering living in Glendale, use an outing to learn how your week might work. Try the drive from the homes you're considering. Notice the difference between a street you like in photographs and a route you'd be happy taking every day. We'll help you compare the actual options, including Emerald Isle as its own neighborhood conversation.
DM “GLENDALE” for the guide, or start a strategy session if a move is on your mind.
